On Guard: Defending Your Faith with Reason and Precision
‘On Guard’, one of the most recent books from Dr. William Lane Craig (Ph.D. in Philosophy — University of Birmingham; Doctorate of Theology — University of Munich), like Dr. Norman Geisler and Frank Turek’s I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be An Atheist, is a comprehensive work in Christian apologetics (making a defense) written in accessible language.
After reviewing the definition and significance of apologetics, Dr. Craig offers reasonable arguments from science and philosophy (Cosmological Argument, Teleological Argument, Moral Argument, etc.) that plausibly warrant belief in God, followed by historical evidence for the Resurrection of Christ. He also addresses two of the more popular objections to a Christian worldview — The Problem of Evil/Suffering and the exclusivity of Christ’s claims…
