Heart In Scripture, this synonym of “mind” (Ps 7:9; Jer 17:9-10), is the metaphorical seat not only of one’s emotions, but of one’s thoughts, desires, and will (Dt 6:5; Pr 7:3; 1 Ki 3:9; Ps 119:2, 10, 11, 34).
